Seijosa, 11 July 2023 – The MLA and President of the State BJP Unit, Biyuram Waghe, along with Er Aju Khonjuju, President of the Greater Kameng Badminton Association, and esteemed Senior Executive Members, conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing construction work of the Multipurpose Badminton Hall in Seijosa on 11th and 12th July 2023. This review aimed to assess the progress and ensure the timely completion of the project.
The 11th Edition of the Greater Kameng Badminton Championship is scheduled to take place in Seijosa, Pakke-kessang District, in October 2023. As part of the preparations for this prestigious event, a detailed evaluation of the construction work was carried out. After careful consideration, it has been strongly recommended that both the contractor and the Executing Agency expedite their efforts and conduct weekly review meetings to ensure the project is completed before the scheduled deadline.
The MLA, Biyuram Waghe, emphasized the importance of timely completion, stating, “The Multipurpose Badminton Hall holds great significance for promoting sports and nurturing talent within our region. It is imperative that all stakeholders involved collaborate closely to expedite the construction work, ensuring that the facility is ready well in advance of the 11th Edition of the Greater Kameng Badminton Championship.”
Er Aju Khonjuju, President of the Greater Kameng Badminton Association, expressed his satisfaction with the review process and stressed the need for a coordinated effort, saying, “We appreciate the efforts made by MLA Biyuram Waghe and the Senior Executive Members in monitoring the construction progress. To host a successful championship, it is crucial that the Multipurpose Badminton Hall is completed within the stipulated timeline. We urge the contractor and the Executing Agency to expedite their activities and maintain close coordination to meet the desired target.”
The meeting was attended by all stakeholders, including the Pakke-kessang District Intellectual Forum, the Pakke-kessang District Badminton Association, representatives of the Student Union, and the Local Championship Organizing Committee.
