Political tides shift as leaders from Tali Zilla parishad embrace JD(U) in ‘Ghar Wapsi’ Move

Itanagar, Dec 12: The 7th Tali Zilla Parishad Constituency, leaders from the gram segments of Ruhi and Sartam have departed from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and embraced the Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)]. Termed as a ‘Ghar Wapsi’ (homecoming), this move carries significant implications for the region’s political dynamics.

Markio Yaging, Gram Chairperson, and Ruhi Taru Tapa GPM of 7/58-Ruhi, joined forces with Maru Tania Gram Chairperson and Sartam Magia GPM of 7/59-Sartam to convey their unwavering trust in National Leader Nitish Kumar and State President Ruhi Tagung of JD(U).

The decision follows their initial support for JD(U) MLA Candidate Jikke Tako, who later switched allegiance to the BJP post-victory.

Riba Pangia Dolo, State General Secretary of JD(U), extended a cordial welcome to the newly joined members during a ceremony at the Party Head Office in 6th Mile Itanagar.

The event witnessed the presence of Tarba Japan, General Secretary of Yuva JD(U) Arunachal Pradesh, and Kra Daadi District President Tagru Kakum.
