NAHARLAGUN, The Papum Pare district administration on Monday has distributed piglets to 70 beneficiaries of Borum ZP segment with several other items which include fodders, medicines and cleaning materials and equipment at a function at Borum ground.
The program was organized by animal husbandry & veterinary & Dairy development officer, Papum Pare district under Borum Block. The distribution programme was supported by PRI leaders including ZPM Tok Tama.
Yupia Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tadang Bodung, District animal husbandry & veterinary officers (DVO) Dagge Riba, Borum Block BDO Y Dawe, Borum ZPM Tok Tama took part in the distribution programme and interacted with the public.
It is to mention that the distribution of piglets was held under the Arun pig development scheme (APDS) of 2019-20 but could not take place due to covid 19 pandemic. As per information more than 2000 beneficiaries would be distributed across the district to the farmers for doubling income and economic sustainability.
