ITANAGAR, AUG 28 : The 2×1.6 MVA, 33/11 KV Sub-station at Sagalee in Papum Pare would be made functional by financial year 2022-23. Informed Minister Power Incharge Chowna Mein in an written reply in the state assembly.
Mein in an written reply to the question raised by former Chief Minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki, the power Minister said that the Sub-station was constructed and funded by NEC. The Substation was completely damaged due to mudslide on account of the natural calamity like flood and landslide.
The fund provision is kept for complete renovation in the budget estimate of 2021-22 with an estimated cost of 300 lakhs and allocated Rs. 30 Lakhs for financial year 2021-22. If the existing 33/11 KV, 2×1.6 MVA Substation is renovated, Sagalee and its peripheral villages will draw power supply which is under construction by PGCIL. The minister said.
The existing 33/11KV Sub-station at Sagalee proposed to be overhauled under SADA 2021-22 & 2022-23 will be directly connected from the upcoming 132/33 KV Sub-station at Sagalee under comprehensive scheme. The Minister added.
