All schools in Itanagar capital complex to remain close for 3 days from June 29 to July in view of inclined weather

ITANAGAR, JUNE 28 : In view of incessant rain fall, various locations within the Capital, Itanagar are affected by flood/landslide causing threat to the lives and properties of the residents/people and to prevention of mitigation of disaster or to effectively respond to it the Capital Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital complex has closed alla the schools in ht jurisdiction of capital complex for next three days from June 29 to July 1.

Briefing the media at DC office here on Tuesday evening, DC Talo Potom said that It has been reported that due to incessant rain various roads including NH415 within Capital, Itanagar has been damaged resulting into traffic congestions and inconvenience to the commuters and the traffic movement through NH415 from Naharlagun to Itanagar has been severely affected due to landslide at various points of NH415. Said DC Potom.

In view of above several the schools children may also face troubles while going to school and back home during the bad weather conditions and for the safety and security of the students within the Capital, Itanagar all the schools within the capital complex shall remain close for next three days from June 29 to July 1. Said DC capital.

The schools including Primary, Pre-Primary, Upper Primary, High School & Higher Secondary schools within the Capital, Itanagar for a period of 3 (Three) days w.e.f. 29/06/2022 to 01/07/2022 and if necessary it may be extended for further period keeping in view of the weather forecast from the metrology department. He said.

He further appeal all the school authority and parents to abide by the order which has been issued in view of the safety and security of the schools children’s during the inclined weather.  DC Potom further said.
