ANSU served 25 days ultimatum to APPSC for structural reformation in recruitment process.

ITANAGAR, Jun 18: The All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) on Saturday served 25 days ultimatum to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to make structural reforms in recruitment process by upholding the 1:3 ratio for Viva voce test.

Addressing the media person here at APC, president ANSU Nabam Dodum said that recently state government has issued an notification that ‘In case the number of candidates (who obtain at least 33% marks in each paper) is less than 3 times the number of vacancies, all the candidates securing 33% marks shall be call for appearing in the viva voce test’, which is not at all acceptable and against the sanctity of a competitive examination.

The provision of notification implies that the number of candidates called for viva-voce test may be less than 1:3 ratio which is irrational and illogical, he added.

Stating according to the norms of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) requirement of height for male is 160 Centimeter and female145 centimeter, ANSU demand for review and revise of Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) specially for recruitment of deputy superintendent of police in Arunachal Pradesh Police Service.

“Physical standard norms for female candidates should be made 145 CM instead of 158 CM,” said Dodum.

Union also demands APPSC to set up a dedicated appraisal and grievance cell to address any examination related grievances, inclusion of regional topics in APPSC examination, to make Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) mandatory for all the candidates and to shortlisted the criteria for appointing chairman and members of the APPSC.
