ITANAGAR, DEC 7 : The Arunachal Pradesh energy development agency (APEDA) on Wednesday has launched week long celebration of national energy consumer week celebration here at energy park in city.
Launching the week long programme, APEDA Vice Chairman Tagung Neri inform that every year the National Energy Conservation is celebrated across the nation to make aware the masses of utilization of energy for maximum use and reached to maximum people. Today we have launched a tableau which ahs fitted with audio system and it will go in various colony, sector and parts of capital complex and make mass awareness on energy conservation. We have launched week long programme which include literary competition and painting completion as well model competition among the school children and the winners of the district will be called at state level and will be awarded by the deptt. He said.
December 14 is the day and the tableau having sound system with all local dialect will also go in rural area and created awareness among the citizens. The main programme will be held at DK Convention hall wherein the final day will be celebraedt.
Apart of all these the street play and drama and play will be organised by team with a target for conservation of energy, emergency efficiently, global warming, ecological balancing, use of electricity and utilization of 5 start rating electrical appliances. Said Neri.
National Energy Conservation Day aims to generate awareness among the masses for saving of energy. Essentially, the main objective of the day is to reduce the use of energy and to encourage people to use it efficiently and it will help in stop wastage of energy. He said.
National Energy Conservation Day advocates the importance of saving energy for everyone, be it a child or the elderly and if it continue we can save energy and it can be used by maximum number of people. We in state have also procured two nos of electric vehicle which is being utilized at office on trial basis and it is very good and cost effective and still good to use without noise pollution and without use of fuel to avoid pollution. He said. Rather we encourage the people that to protect the environment we can use the electric vehicle and in metro city the government emphasis the people to use electrical run vehicle also.
Though APEDA run few small and micro Hydel projects are functioning and providing services but we aer trying our best effort to provide power supply to the villages unconnected by power deptt through solar power and solar system. The Vice Chairman added.
He appeal the youths to guide our parents about the global warming and best use of energy and utilization of 5 start electrical appliances.
