Capital police organise outreach programme to develop relation between police and public

ITANAGAR, JUL 4 : With the objective to develop a good understanding adn relationship of community, shopkeepers and their issues with police and better community policing, the  Capital Police on Monday organised a community outreach programme within Itanagar areas at multiple location in city. 

On the day over 500 business communities were briefed on how to maintain the order in market areas and to dial at 112 for any police assistance during any kind of anti-social activities such as extortion, forceful donation and drugs.

For the interest of the business community, the idea was conceptualised by the SP Jimmy Chiram including SDPO Kamdam Singkom, SDPO Naharlagun Dekio Gumja along with all the OCs of capital police.

The program was held at Gohpur, Chimpu, Akshdeep, Gandhi market and Niti Vihar areas. Capital police also planned to conduct similar outreach programs in other areas of the capital complex.
