IPS Tojo Karga promoted to DIGP grade

ITANAGAR, JULY 7: An AGMUT cadre IPS batch of 2007 Tojo Karga who is presently posted as SP Prison in Arunachal Pradesh has been promoted to DIGP Grade of which order has been issued.

The order issued by Ministry of Home Affairs vide order no-F.No. 14016/24/2021.UTS-I dated 7th July 2022 said that in pursuance of the recommendation of the review screening committee in its meeting held on July 1st and also with the approval of the competent authority. The IPS Tojo Karga and other officers in the same order have been promoted to the rank of DIGP grade (level 13 A in the pay matrix). The orders said.

As per information the promotion of Karga was due and the order has mentioned the actual benefit from 1st January 2021.

Tojo Karga, IPS son of late Tumto karga from West Siang district has vast knowledge and experience in policing and community policing. As per information Karga was appointed as Dy. SP in the year 1992 and served in various posts as District sp, commandant, SP (Special branch). SP (Fire & emergency service).  SP (Telecom), SP (Traffic) and SP (Security)

He was selected for a U.N police mission in Kosovo.

Karga has also been trained in Handling of hazardous materials in West Virginia,USA under Homeland security of the U.S. the sources said.

He was awarded a silver medal by the government  of Arunachal Pradesh for meritorious and dedicated service in the security Unit. He was also awarded the Antrik suraksha medal. The sources added.

Meanwhile, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has congratulated Karga on his promotion to the DIGP Grade, in a social media post CM Khandu has wished good luck and success in future endeavors.
