ITANAGAR, JULY 7 : The work progress on several power transmission system is in war footing in various parts of state and once all the under construction transmission system, switch yard, sub-station there would be no problem in power transmission across the state. Informed Power (Transmission) SE T K Tara.

Tara was speaking to media on several up gradating and under construction transmission projects  power transmission system across the state on Thursday here at Vidyut bhawan. Tara said that the Transmission Zone is separately working under the Power Department with two zones at Itanagar and another with State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC), in coordination with North Eastern Regional Power Committee (NERPC) and North Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre (NERLDC). He said.

We do hear about load shedding but in Itanagar capital complex there would be no load seeding but there may be fault in system may be due to natural calamity, public disturbances and damaged due to various reason in the feather and the technician need time to correct the default in the line and system and distribution in busy urban areas. As of now we have several feather line connecting to capital complex at Sub-station at Chimpu with 132×33 KV which is now turned into the sub-station which include one from Lekhi to Chimpu, Biswanath to Chimpu, Ranaganadi 405 MW double line circuit to Chimpu, Pare HPD to Chimpu, Balipara-Chimpu via Gohpur in case any default in any transmission line the other line automatically provide the power supply. He said

There are several sub-station functioning in state which include Deomali, Pasighat, Aalo, Daportijo, Lekhi, Chimpu, Tippi, Khupi and dhukumpani. He said.

In Western Sector: the Balipara-Nechipu-Dukumpani-Khuppi-Kimi (Kameng HEP) 132 kV Transmission Line with 132/33 kV Sub-Stations at Dukumpani (10 MVA + 16 MVA) and Khuppi (15 MVA) and the above system feds grid power to West Kameng, Tawang and East Kameng.hed said.

Referring to Itanagar Capital Region including entire Papum Pare & part of Pakke Kessang District the Ranganadi-Chimpu/Itanagar 132 kV Double-Circuit Transmission Line (One circuit via Pare HEP) with 132/33 kV Sub-Station at Chimpu (2×20 MVA), the Ranganadi-Pare-Lekhi-Nirjuli-Gohpur 132 kV Single Circuit Transmission Line with 132/33 kV Sub-Stations at Lekhi (20 MVA + 15 MVA) and Nirjuli (PGCIL) (2×50 MVA), The Lekhi-Chimpu/Itanagar 132 kV Single Circuit Transmission Line and the Biswanath Chariali-Chimpu/Itanagar 132 kV Double-Circuit Transmission Line (one circuit via Gohpur).he informed.

In Central Sector the Ranganadi-Ziro-Daporijo-Aalo-Pasighat-Roing-Teju-Namsai 132 kV Single Circuit radial Transmission Line, with 132/33 kV Sub-Stations at Ziro (PGCIL) (3×5 MVA), Daporijo (2×5 MVA), Aalo (3×5 MVA), Pasighat (2×5 MVA), Roing (PGCIL) (2×15 MVA), Teju (PGCIL) (2×15 MVA) and Namsai (PGCIL) (2×15 MVA) is functioning while in Eastern Sector the Kathalguri-Deomali 220 kV S/C Transmission Line with 220/132 kV (3×33.33 MVA) and 132/33 kV (2×16 MVA) would meet up the general requirement of the power supply. SE Tara said.

The capital complex has 5 alternative source of grid power availability with 100% availability at Chimpu Grid Station round the clock.  As on date, Itanagar and its adjoining area has a power demand of 25 MW on this Sub-Station. He informed.

For seamless and uninterrupted percolation of the available grid power to the end user consumers, particularly of capital area, the concerned Distribution Zonal counterpart of Department of Power have need to race up for distribution system improvements with the liberal funds provided by the Central and State governments through various schemes and programs. He said.

For further strengthening of grid systems in the state, an ambitious Central Sector Scheme, Comprehensive Scheme for Strengthening of Transmission & Distribution System in Arunachal Pradesh, is being implemented by POWERGRID, wherein a robust pan-Arunachal grid system network for 132 kV connectivity right from Tawang to Deomali with further massive 33 kV system back-ups.  Under this project, 27 Nos. of 132/33 kV and 70 Nos. of 33/11 kV Sub-Station are being installed across the state with upstream 132 kV feeder lines of 2,118 kMs. and 1,923 kMs. of 33 kV lines with completion timeline of March 2024. He said.

For further augmentation of reliability, capacity & quality of power supply in the state, the project of 132 kV Double-Circuit inter-connectivity between Chapakhowa (Assam) and Roing (Arunachal), the work is on war footing with the target of completion within November 2022, which was earlier scheduled for September 2022. He said.

Referring to some problem of power supply in TLC Region and Namsai and Lohit basis Tara said that to boost the grid system reliability of State, the proposed project of Kathalguri-Namsai 220 kV Double-Circuit Transmission Line with 2×160 MVA, 220/132 kV Sub-Station at Namsai is on the fast-track.

With completion of above robust grid network, with intermediate anchoring systems in the offing, viz; Kimi (Kameng HEP-Khuppi Double Circuit Transmission Line, LILO system of Naharlagun/Yupia 132/33 kV Sub-Station with Hoj-Chimpu/Itanagar 132 kV Transmission Line, 132/33 kV Sub-Station at Kimin & Raga, 132 kV inter-connectivity between Likabali and Basar and 132 kV inter-connectivity ISTS between Jonai and Niglok and Gerukkamukh & Gogamukh, the power availability of the state at grid level would be totally mitigated in near future. He said.

To deliver the fruit of above availability of power, it is high time that the Power Distribution sector authorities of the state have to buck up and do their home works in right earnest and implement the improvement & service maintenance rapidly and drastically and also the distribution system is also strengthened and the public cooperation is sought and the help of general public is eminent during the time of natural disaster as the power transmission line are affected as moots of the tower line and transmission line are located in high terrain and deep jungle and other not reachable area. Tara added.

As per the target by Power grid corporation of India with a target and working and once all the projected, 27 sub-station are under construction of 132×33  under comprehensive scheme while 70 new 33×11 sub-station right form Lumla to Longding and there are distribution power sub-stations will add to the distribution in the respective areas and thee power distribution system will be strengthened. The SE Tara further said.
