Bera, May 14: MLA Khonsa West Chakat Aboh accompanied by ZPM Dadam Block Zamwang Lowang visited fire victims at Bera village 31 kms away from Khonsa HQs on 14th May, 2022 in which she provided necessary relief items including 50 Nos. CGI sheets, Utensils, Essential Commodities and blankets to fire victims viz : Kamnga Akhang, GB and Apang Akhang. Earlier on 10thMay, 2022 the dwelling houses of Kamnga Akhang, SPT building and Apang Akhang, MIBT building were completely gutted in fire. Both the fire victims informed the SDRF team led by DDMO i/c. Khonsa Pik Tayum immediately visited on the day of fire accident occurrence and immediate relief items was provided to them and also took property loss assessment.
While interacting with the fire victims MLA Aboh suggested them to keep at least 20 – 25 meters of distance in between their house while rebuilding their dwelling houses to avoid fire accident in near future, she said that most of the villages under her constituency falls under hilly area which is prone to fire accident, as such fire place at the thatch house kitchen need to be taken proper care by every individual.
Both the fire victims of Bera Kamnga Akhang and Apang Akhang praised MLA Chakat Aboh, ZPM Dadam Block Zamwang Lowang, DDMO Pik Tayum, SDRF team and accompanied ESDA members and Women leaders of Dadam area for their kind visits to Bera and compensated relief items.
The relief distribution program was accompanied by Pantom Kamhua, President ESDA (Elite Society of Dadam Area), Bewang Lowang, Chief of Bera, Tilong Kamhua, Public leader of Bera, Mantong Lowang, GPC of Bera, Jowang Hakhun, Public leader of Dadam, Wangto Hakhun, Public leader of Dadam, IPR representative Gawang Sumpa, UDC, Tolam Nokbi, Women leader of Huakan, Chamu Hakhun, Former ASM of Dadam village.
