ITANAGAR, MAY 14 : The employees of 21 Koloriang assembly constituency (KEF) of Kurung Kumey on Saturday had a marathon meeting here at DK Convention center and discussed several issues of the area and resolved to work together for all round development.
Informing the media, the 21-Koloriang employees forum, Chairman (Interim committee) Riya Powak said that every society, community has challenges in all spheres, we are passing through a transition period and accordingly everything is changing according to time and need.
There are hundreds of employees of Koloriang assembly constituency who are working in different departments of government and undertakings and others who are members. It is everyone’s responsibility to think for their area, circle, assembly constituency, district, state and country so we look forward to doing something for a change in society and area. Powak added.
The first general conference of the forum is held today and we have discussed several issues of society and area including developments and other matters being faced by the people of the area since long and future requirements. A search committee has finalized the first executive of the forum who will carry forward the works of the organization and people of Koloriang assembly constituency in future. He said.
Vice Chairman, Nangram Pingkap said that this programme has been organsied by the employees of several circles under 21 Koloriang assembly constituency. There is a need for change in society and being a government servant wants some work which needs to be carried forward. The major issue and challenge today is drug addiction, skill development, peace, progress and development, unity and integrity and to channelize the youths, guide the people and also to work for protection and preservation of flora and fauna. He said.
The government servant can also add the human resource and make a constructive role and also coordinate the administration and government for all round development. Pingkap said.
We felt it necessary that the employees of area need a forum where several issue of society in several fields can be discussed and resolved upto extend what we can do. He added.
With the passage of time we are forgetting everything and we being the government employees, intellectuals and this is a platform to discuss our past glory and to discuss how to take up and preserve our mother tongue and several others. Time has come and it is the need of the hour that we have to work together and encourage and motivate others to be responsible citizens. Pingkap furthers said.
