ITANAGAR, AUG 28 : IPS, Mari RIba who passed away on Sunday morning was laid to rest with great honour at his native resident at Likabali in Lower Siang district. Thousands take part in the last rite.
Late Mari Riba, 58 year and one of the senior most police officer of Arunachal Pradesh who was posted as Inspector general of police (IGP) Central Range, Pasighat passed away on Sunday morning. Late Riba was 2004 SPS batch officer, an efficient police officers joined the Arunachal Pradesh police in year 1992 has serve the state in various post in various districts Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, East Siang, West Siang, Yupia, he also worked as DIGP Eastern range, DIGP (Int) and was DIGP Central Range from 2021. He also worked at PTC, 2nd APP Bn, Vigilance at AP Secretariat.
Late Riba was recipient of several appreciation letter, certificate, medals and award during his service period in various parts of state by state government, NGOs and even by central government. He was also recreant of President Police medal for meritorious services on Independence Day 2020
Several top leaders of state form various section of society including party, NGO, CBO and officers from civil and police take part during the lat journey and last rite at Likabali.
Among other union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Minister Tumke Bagra, Lawmaker Kardo Nyigyor, Ninong Ering, Kento Rina, DGP Anand Mohan, IGP Apur Bitin, CK Mein, Isac Perting, Takhe Ringu, Misobi, DC & SP of Lower Siang, Laparada, East Siang, Upper Subansiri, senior civil and police officers of state and various district of state , family members, relatives, friends and well wishers has visited the Likabali resident on Sunday and paid floral tribute and pray for eternal peace of departed soul on heavenly abode.
Minister Tumke Bagra, DGP Anand Mohan and host of civil and police officer from various parts of state and other public, social, political leaders form Party, NGOs, CBOs and general public were present on the last day of the journey of Late Mari Riba.
Guard of honour was also presented on the occasion by state police of the last journey of Late Mari Riba
