ITANAGAR, FEB 19 ; With the joint efforts of Seva Bharati Arunachal Pradesh and National Medicos Organisation free medical camps were done at four places of West Kameng district. As a part of Dhanvantari Seva Yatra of NMO medical camps were organised at Samdrum, Morshing, Shergaon and Jigaon areas of West Kameng.
The medical camps catered to all from children to elderly. Screening for hypertension and diabetes was done. Awareness regarding Breast cancer, Cervical cancer and Oral cancer was given along with educating school children about basic hygiene and nutrition.
Doctors from various parts of the country and world participated in the camps. Team West Kameng consisted of Dr Sapatnekar Vishwas, rewnowned surgeon who had come specially from London for the camps, Dr Akanksha Yadav from AIIMS Patna, Dr Aashish Kumar from BHU, Dr Sonu Babu Gupta and Shivansh Joshi from GMC Guwahati along with Anumita from GMERS Vadodara. This team of doctors along with their local coordinator Mr. Sandeep from Seva Bharati-AP served more than 500 patients in these four camps.
