Public are not to be panic even few cases of JE has been reported from various parts of state: Alo LIbang

ITANAGAR, JULY 25 ; The general public are requested not to be in panic even few cases of Japanese encephalitis (JE) cases has been reported from various parts of state, but need to remain alert for prevention from infection. Said Health & Family welfare Minister Alo LIbang.

The health Minister LIbang inform over phone form Yingkiong, Upper Siang that the health department and state government have information of few cases of JE in some parts of state and we are keeping a vigil on the infection. We need to remain alert for prevention of it in their own jurisdiction and to extend their helping hand to support the concerned district authorities and maintain the guidelines issued by health authority and medical practitioners.  

Direction has been issued to the officers of department and DMO concerns of respective district to carry fogging wherever is necessary and also create awareness among the people. Added Health Minister Libang. 

As per available date with the health department it comes to know that the JE infection is also spreading in various parts of state and the best way is to remand alert so that it does not affect the general public and the people are not affected by the infection. 

As per available date with the health department it has come to know that the JE cases are also spreading and few recent cases which include few cases of Longding on 5 July wherein one 46 years male is now at treatment at Guwahati Medical college & Hospital (GNRC) via Dibrugarh Pvt Hospital. Another case is from Changlang district of July 1 a 4 year female has been infected and under treatment. A doubtful case of JE from  Namsai was reported and is under process of reference of Assam Medical College (AMC) Dibrugarh, 14 yrs girl, Dharampur vill + 4 AES at DH on 22.7.2022.

A case of 7 years female of Ruksin, Pasighat detected on 21st July and is now at Dibrugarh. Another case of JE was reported from Deomali in Tirap district wherein a 70 years of male of ADC colony. 

As per available information and date all the effected districts have formed District Rapid Response team for its control & management and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and guidelines are being followed by all effected districts for JE case / AES (Acute Encephalitis Syndrome) cases.

The state health ministry led by health and family welfare minister Alo Libang and health service director M Lego, Family welfare director Dr. Emi Rumi and the district task force are doing its best effort in creating mass awareness and information among the general masses. 

As per information the malathian fogging in 100 MTR radius of focus for controlling Qulex mosquito, Source reduction & IEC / public awareness performed by District Vector Born Disease Control Society. Community to  do extensive source reduction in their areas are being done. The blood sample collection of pigs are being done by veterinary deptt. in Longding dist and other parts of affected areas of state.
