Shortage of non judicial stamp paper of small denomination for more than three months has irk the locals

Manoj Singh || ITANAGAR, AUGUST 18 : The shortage of non judicial stamp paper of small denomination in state capital head treasury office has irk the local denizens of capital complex and termed it as a harassment to innocent people.

How long the genuine customers shall continue wait for the small denomination stamp paper in capital district specially in Itanagar capital city for not a single month but for more than three months is a matter of great concern and need to ponder as why the authority has kept deep ear and not taking prompt action by the department  of Land Managemnt who are dealing with the NJS Papers.

The locals who visit the main treasury office of state attached at Directorate of Accounts and treasuries at Bank Tinali in city said that the officers of the treasury office are giving us harassment by saying that stock nill and order has been placed but how long we will continue to wait. We are in need of small denomination non judicial stamp paper but the people direly need of stamp paper finding no option but have to buy higher denomination of Rs. 50/=, Rs. 100/= and even higher denomination others and it is nothing but intentionally harassing the innocent people of capital complex and others. The people coming from district coming to state capital who have works and are directly related with stamp papers has to waste a huge amount to buy higher denomination non judicial stamp papers and unnecessary wastage of money.

When contacted, the officers of  Treasury offices inform that people are approaching to them for small denomination non judicial stamp paper but what we can do what stock was with us has been exhausted. We are also been repeatedly asked by the customers who are valued people and coming to us for stamp paper but we give them alternate stamp paper and revenue ticket and stamp duty tickets of those values. The officer said.

He also accepted that it is almost three-four month and the small denomination non judicial stamp paper is not in the stock. We have placed order (requirement) to the higher authority and accordingly the authority has simultaneously writing every month of the shortage of the small denomination NJSP of Rs. 5, Rs. 10, Rs. 20 which are being distributed to local treasury and even to district and for local consumption. Hope the shortage and scarcity of small denomination NJSP are not often happened for the genuine customers. The treasury officer added.
