ITANAGAR, MAY 25: The Special Investigation team (SIT) of Arunachal Pradesh police (APP) has already left the state and today reaching New Delhi by evening and by morning they will reach Ludhiana in Punjab and arrest the YouTuber, Paras Singh. Informed IGP Law & Order Chukhu Apa.
Apa was speaking to media at a press briefing at police headquarter (PHQ) to inform the update on the Paras official YouTuber as thousand of people across the state, region and country has been demanding his arrest and legal action against that said person who has utters anti national works in shameless manner and spoke racist comments which has hurt the sentiment of people of state, region and country as a whole.
IGP informs that though we have been receiving several complaints against the said YouTuber, Paras Singh of Punjab and the state police has taken it as a cognizance and started tracking and tracing the through cyber cell at PHQ. We have received complaint from several district including several organization, union, association and individuals, but after received of a formal complaint from the Pasighat MLA NInong Ering, a case has been registered at crime branch police station and obtained a non bailable warrant against him and team of SIT has left the state on Monday and today evening they will reach New Delhi and after that on Wednesday will reach Ludhiana and arrest the accused and will produce before the magistrate to court and after approval of transit remand the team will bring the Paras to Arunachal Pradesh. The written FIR was received from Ninong Ering-, MLA, 37 Pasighat West Assembly Constituency Arunachal Pradesh S/o Late Daying Ering, Mirku Dapi, Pasighat Arunachal Pradesh to the effect that recently he wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the PUBG re-launch and posted the same on Twitter also. He had also written against this earlier and on many such issues of national importance, especially related to China. He is receiving constant trolling on his Twitter and Facebook and getting threats also. He saw a video where a YouTuber named Paras from Punjab through his YouTube Channel Paras Official made racist comments and even called us Chinese. It has hurt the sentiments of the entire North East and especially Arunachal Pradesh. The FIR said, informed IGP.
Accordingly, a case has been registered vide Crime Branch Police Station FIR No. 005/2021 U/S 124-A/153-A/505(2) IPC and investigation taken up by Inspector Techi Vijay. Information gathered by the SIT Team. IGP said.
The SIT teams have ascertained the name and address of the youtuber account ID #Parasofficial as Paras Singh 25 year, S/o Gulab Singh resident of House No. 1049, Gali No. 7 Janakpuri-141003, Ludhiana, Punjab from various sources (Instagram/ Youtube, Facebook page as PARASGAMER, Gmail account from Google).Paytm account, Google pay account and mobile contact number of the accused Youtuber Paras Singh has been collected. He said.
A Non-bailable Warrant of Arrest has been obtained against accused Youtuber Paras Singh who is involved in sedition and racial slur case. Accordingly, a three member SIT team led by Inspector Techi Vijay left Itanagar for Ludhiana via Chandigarh Punjab to arrest the accused. He will be brought to AP under transit remand for production before the court of chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Yupia and other legal formalities.
Social media are for sharing information documents and other for several causes and purposes for the several reasons for welfare and also for entertainment and educational purposes but it has been observed that the social media sites are being misused which is also a crime by such a way like today. He urges all sections of society not to misuse the social media site or else they will have to face legal action. IGP added.
