APSCS&T organized robotic Competition-2022 for students of higher secondary classes

ITANAGAR, DEC 8 : The Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science & Technology (APSCS&T),  has organized a day long robotic competition at Science Centre, IG Park, Itanagar with the aim educate the student on robotics and that every student must learn robotics.

A Total of 12 participants from 3 Schools which include GHSS Ganga, GHSS Arunodaya, and GHSS Itanagar including members of Innovation Hub, Itanagar Participated in the competition and other enjoyed witnessing several scientific equipments and knowledge on science and scientific and technological intervention in human life for day to day needs. 

Team Innovation Hub secured the first position, Government Higher Secondary School, Itanagar secured second position and Government Higher Secondary School, Ganga secured Third Position respectively.

Attending the function as chief guest Itanagar Capital complex, Deputy Director (Education)  Sorang Tapi Zara motivated the school students to know the science properly. He said that the robotics is very new subject and he urges teachers to come up with innovative methods to set up an example for future generation and he also urges the department of science and Technology to continue the awareness program about robotics (AI) in more govt. schools as out of 70 Schools only 30 has been covered so far.

APSCS&T Joint Director Er. Bamang Apo and spoke to the students and elaborated activities of scientific intervention in school. He assured all possible help for the growth of science and scientific knowledge in schools of the state and other scientific work. 

The present age is one for Artificial Intelligence which has become imperative for growth today. It is the tool in our hands to make our life simpler and easier. Let realize and appreciate the beauty of the AI and embrace with all our hearts. It’s a talent which should be compulsorily honed by all in every walk of life. Jt Director added.

APSCS&T Deputy Director Dr. Pakngu Lombi,  Bengia Ama member of Innovation Hub and student of VKV Chimpu, was also facilitated by Dept. for Securing second position in national Level (Inspire Manak Award) for his innovative project “Modified Ara”.
