Efforts on to make our educated youths from job seekers to job providers: Mein

ITANAGAR, May 14: Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein along with Advisor to Power Minister, Balo Raja and Advisor to Land Management, Jummum Ete Deori inaugurated a Tai Khamti Restaurant named ‘FRA ‘O’ KHAMTI KITCHEN & CATERING’ at 1st Floor, Himalayan Commercial Building, Jully Road, Ganga at Itanagar today.

    In his inaugural speech, Mein said that he is elated to see many women entrepreneurs coming up with their start ups entrepreneurship/ business across the State. He said, “Our Women are taking the lead by selling our finished products of handlooms & handicrafts and local vegetables & food products through SHGs or by opening shops and restaurants”. He said that we encourage such initiatives by women and added that we are moving towards women empowerment.

He said that efforts are on to make our educated youths from job seekers to job providers and towards this end, Govt have taken initiatives by providing skill training and hand holding the entrepreneurs through Innovation & Investment Parks. He also informed that the Govt is implementing many schemes such as Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swalambhan Yojana, CM’s District Innovation Scheme and various Schemes under Atma Nirbhar Yojana in Agri & allied sectors for the upliftment of rural economy and to make our people self-reliant.

Mein extended his best wishes to Nang Khalina Longchat, Proprietor ‘Fra ‘O’ Khamti Kitchen & Catering’ and her associates.

The restaurant will exclusively provide food and catering services of Tai-Khamti cuisines, one of the most fascinating tribal food because of its taste and aroma decorated with home grown and locally discovered spices.  

    Among others, Finance Secretary, Y W Ringu, Secretary Urban Development & Housing, Mithali Namchoom, Woman Entrepreneur, Taba Yal, Successful Enterpreneurs, Toko Prakash and Likha Maj also attended the inaugural program.
