A mass social service was carried out at Hydel channel (Mini hydel) at Tato headquarter of Shi-Yomi district which was organized by Ruto Ao Welfare Association (RAWA) and Boh Ao Society (BAS) on Thursday.
RAWA appealed concerned department to depute more main power to maintain the channel line in order to keep the surrounding clean , green and hygene.
Member of BAS Johny Pinggam informed that earlier people of the headquarter Tato get the free electricity, where common public voluntarily clean the surrounding of channel on regular basis.
Since, they are paying revenue to the department concerned they are somehow reluctant to do the same service, he added.
“I personally feel that the department of hydro power should provide regular electricity to the common public, as the channel is always filled with the sand and mud which caused problems in supplying of electricity,” said Pinggam.
