NAHARLAGUN, MAY 16: As per order of the government of Arunachal Pradesh the Vaccination of Covid 19 vaccine will be administered at more than 40 designated facilities across the state. informed State Nodal officer of Immunization Dr. Dimong Padung.
Dr Padung speaking to media informed that the state is geared up for vaccination for the aged group of 18-44 from Monday May 17 onwards and those who have been registered through ‘Cowin’ portal/platform can visit the centre and get themselves vaccinated.
As of now there is no shortage of vaccines and we have dispatched vaccines to all the 25 districts of state and everybody who has been registered can take as per the slot allotted to them as per schedule in respective vaccination centres. Dr. Padung said.
We have a target of more than 4000 vaccinations at 40 designated facilities across the state including the capital complex here the center is three at TRIHMS, RKM Hospital and Rakap PHC. The vaccination in most districts will be held at two different locations.
The normal and routine vaccination for frontline workers, field level workers and people aged above 45 years shall continue in all those centres. He added that people should not gather in groups and maintain social distance and always wear face masks even if one is vaccinated.
The state government had deferred the drive for those in the 18-44 years age group from May 1, as the state may face shortage for the same as the already placed order of 4 lakh doses of vaccines. A consignment of 20,180 vials of ‘Covishield’ arrived in the state on Wednesday.
